Farmer's Markets
One of the largest and most stable industries providing jobs in Wayne County has announced it will be closing before the end of 2016. Over 300 families will be directly affected with ripple effects being felt through the whole community. A community Work Ready Committee has been created. State and local partners are looking at how to help the community in this difficult economic time. By working with the Community and the Economic Development Extension Program we will work to strengthen partnerships and focus on building a diverse economy that emphasizes the importance of entrepreneurship and small business development.
