Situation:
Healthy living is 4-H Health. Moderate physical activity can reduce the risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, colon cancer, stress and high blood pressure. Early substance use in childhood/adolescence affects later drug use.
Long-Term Outcomes:
Increased number of youth maintaining positive health habits. Youth will develop into competent, capable, contributing adults as important developmental assets are met through their participation in 4-H Health programs.
Intermediate Outcomes:
Increased adoption and mastery of healthy behaviors that lead to a healthy lifestyle that include making healthy lifestyle choices, not engaging in risky behavior and handling stress.
Initial Outcomes:
Youth will identify healthy lifestyle choices.
Evaluation:
Initial Outcome: Youth will learn the basics of good hygiene, health, physical activity, healthy cooking, and lifestyles.

As programming through the 21st century is more advanced in technology it can be useful in the times that we are facing it can also be difficult for those that do not have all of the equipment that they need. Each of the youth that are involved in our programs are all faced with challenges through daily tasks.
