Situation:
With the world constantly changing and more trade jobs being available, students need the resources and education to help with those skills. Science, technology, engineering, agriculture, and math are vital areas for the students to focus on to help them succeed.
Long-Term Outcomes:
Participants will be able to obtain jobs in one of the STEAM fields.
Intermediate Outcomes:
Participants will help plan and build outdoor classrooms.
Participants will gain knowledge of fruits and vegetables and can demonstrate how to grow them.
Initial Outcomes:
Participants will be able to recognize the process of turning crops into food.
Participants will learn about the careers in the STEAM field.
Evaluation:
Initial Outcome: Participants will be able to recognize the process of turning crops into food.
Indicator: Participants state process of how crops are turned into food
Method: Observe participants as they discuss the process.
Timeline: during program and immediately after
Intermediate Outcome: Participants will gain knowledge of fruits and vegetables and can demonstrate how to grow them.
Indicator: Feedback from participants or parents of knowledge or proof of gardens.
