30% of Kentucky adults have diagnosed high cholesterol.
High blood pressure affects 24% of Kentuckians.
19.7% of children 10-17 years old and 18%of high schoolers are obese.

The percentage of adults over the age of 20 reporting no leisure time physical activity in Boyle County is almost as high as the state at 30%. Although, 62% of the population has access to exercise facilities. Increased consumption of unhealthy food, stress, and built environments that promote physical inactivity are largely responsible for the obesity epidemic.
