Situation:

A strong community is made up of strong families. Local culture is part of our Greenup County families. Keeping local culture alive and promoting community pride is the goal of performing arts events in the community. Greenup Arts council leaders organize all events.

Long-Term Outcomes:

•Increased community pride

•Increased awareness of local cultural heritage

•Increased participation in cultural events

•Increased income for local artists and artisans

•Increased income for local business due to increased tourism

Intermediate Outcomes:

•Family participation in performance events

•Local artists and artisans featured in performance events

Greenup Old Fashion DaysGreenup Old Fashion Days, now in its 54th year, is one of the longest-running community festival events in Kentucky.  This event incorporates local cultural heritage, artisan and crafter vendors, food vendors, entertainment, and family activities.
