Active Living and Health Promotions General
The Bingocize program was implemented in response to the need for improved physical activity and social engagement among older adults in Lee County, Kentucky. This rural area faced significant challenges, including high rates of chronic diseases and limited access to recreational and social activities for the elderly population. Data from local health reports and surveys conducted by the Lee County Health Department highlighted these issues, emphasizing the necessity for innovative solutions to enhance the quality of life for seniors. By combining the familiar and enjoyable game of bingo with physical exercise, Bingocize aimed to address both physical health and social interaction deficits, providing a fun and accessible way for older adults to stay active and engaged.
Senior Citizens will be able to strengthen their muscles to help better their health and be able to do more everyday activities. Take home the exercises learned and practice them and incorporate them in their everyday routines.
