Greenup County is full of talented artists and artisans. We have people who have specialties in all areas of the arts. There is a need for the creation of a data base that will register information about people and define each medium for which an artist represents. The purpose will be to promote continued education, connect artists, book performers, create teaching opportunities, and identify strengths and weaknesses in the arts community. We will also provide training for artists who wish to learn about e-commerse opportunities as well as other business practices.
Greenup Arts has a mission of creating opportunities in the arts for citizens that will stimulate creativity and promote participation in the arts. This is a continued outcome goal. We also want to promote a variety of income opportunities for artists and artisans that will result in an increase in personal income for artists and artisans in Greenup County.
Greenup Arts has a mission of creating opportunities in the arts for citizens that will stimulate creativity and promote participation in the arts. This is a continued outcome goal. We want to see that all of our identified local artist and artisans are excited about being part of our roster. It is our goal that artists report that they feel that it has benefitted them to be part of our programming.
The Goal of the Greenup Arts Roster is to identify local artists and artisans and create a data base with individual information. This will be an ongoing project that can be added to indefinitely. Greenup Arts wants for artists to be inspired and encouraged by being identified by our program. We also want our identified artists to be inspired to take part in our educational programming.

There are also independent arts studios that provide private arts instruction in our community. These studios employ roughly twenty-five arts specialists in the areas of dance, instrumental music, vocal music, theatre, and visual art. All area arts teachers
