Community beautification project

Addressing Estate Planning and Heir Properties

Due to inadequate estate planning, Harlan County has seen a large number of heirs property issues.  With the lack of wills, these heirs properties are created when family members pass away leaving those who inherit the land and unsure future.  The Harlan County Extension Service with the support of the Harlan County Extension Council obtained grant funding of $2,200 from Kentucky State University to co-host a Will Clinic and Heir Property Education Program with Livelihoods Knowledge Ex
