The annual Richmond CPH-45 feeder calf sale was held at the Bluegrass Stockyards of Richmond LLC on December 10th, 2019. A series of multi-county meetings that provided a commodity market outlook and risk management update helped farmers with their 2018 Farm Bill decisions and educated farmers on how to use crop insurance with price risk tools in protecting 2020 crop revenue. Twenty-three two-hour meetings were delivered from October 2019 through February 2020. Over 900-extension clientele were reached, and over 55 FSA county directors received the farm bill analysis and information.

In response to COVID-19 school, community and business closings, Marion County Cooperative Extension Service and the 4-H Program, ANR Program, and EFNEP Program sought to address a community need to provide educational opportunities. Due to COVID-19 social distancing, 4-H, ANR, and EFNEP Programs developed Extension Activity Bags and informational packets that helped to keep both youth and adults informed and involved with Extension programs during the pandemic.Over 1500 informationa
